Kathleen McGarrity

Originally a Pennsylvania native, Kathleen's family have been Nevada residents for 30+ years. Before joining the brokerage of Angela Powers and the Powers-Armstrong Off Market Real Estate team, Kathleen had a business background having worked for select top U.S. Corporations. Included in these are the POLO/Ralph Lauren Corp./ Bidermann Industries USA where she was assigned bi-coastal Sales Executive account responsibilities which included personal management of the Nordstrom Corporate account. Reporting to the VP of Sales and later directly to their President, she eventually was assigned as their West Coast Special Projects Director. She has also worked for the Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. based out of their Beverly Hills, CA location. Honors included high volume sales achievement recognition and an 'NM Best' nomination by her peers.

Her volunteer efforts in her then work-based Los Angeles community have included a self-funded food service project (grocery and meal delivery) for disabled elderly; select hospital volunteer aid projects associated with The Monastery of The Angels in Los Angeles, and church based community work efforts. It was through these projects she was asked by the late Rev. Monsignor Jeremiah T. Murphy of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to work as a personal assistant while he managed his full schedule with a degenerative physical challenge. This included his multi-faceted projects and his involvement in three charitable Boards.

At the brokerage of Powers-Armstrong Off Market Real Estate, Kathleen specializes in multifamily assets with a focus on the Reno-Sparks region.

Travis Abbott

Investment Advisor

Travis grew up in the Pacific North West,  raised in a small town called Yakima Washington; known as the apple capital of the world.

In 1998 he relocated to Las Vegas Nevada where he acquired a local paper and soon after he established Abbott’s Custom Printing. 

In 2007, he traveled to Chicago to receive an award from The Inc500 for achieving the ranking of the 418th fastest growing, privately owned, business’ in the United States. Former President Bill Clinton was the Inc500 speaker that year; “To meet and listen to him talk to a room full of up-and-comers was an amazing experience,” Travis says. Coincidentally, that was also the year they gave out the very first Apple I-phone.

As an owner-investor in industrial real estate, Travis joined Powers-Armstrong Off Market Real Estate in 2020. Travis brings to Powers-Armstrong, a long list of valued high-net worth individuals he calls friends.

Other than hanging out with his wife and twin boys, Travis enjoys snow skiing, snowmobiling, basketball, surfing, jet skiing, boating, traveling, camping, and gardening. Travis is currently learning Spanish.

Currently, Travis is sailing the seas on his rather large catamaran.

Angela Powers

Principal - Founder

Principal and Founder of Powers-Armstrong Off Market Real Estate, a trademarked brand, Angela opened her boutique brokerage in 2019 as a means for one seller and one buyer to seamlessly transact without enduring the tireless competitive marketing tiers that an on-market listing promotes; meaning: every deal at Powers-Armstrong is OFF MARKET.

In her 23 years transacting exclusively multifamily real estate, working for Grubb & Ellis, CBRE, Hendricks & Partners and Berkadia, Angela has sold over $2.5 Billion in assets, representing a premier list of clients including: Northwestern Mutual Life, US Bank, Helios, Trident Pacific, CalSTRS, LCOR, 3D Investments, Nevada West, Ovation, Sundance Bay, ConAm, WTI, Riverview Principal Management and Westland Real Estate Group.

Born and raised in the Midwestern states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, Angela now calls southern Utah home. Having transacted most of her 23 years in Las Vegas MSA, Angela still travels to her Nevada headquarters once a week.

Angela began her real estate career working in New York City for Fisher Development, where she later moved to Greenwich, CT to work for a Partner with Goldman Sacs. Having started college at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, she attained her Bachelors Degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she studied English and Business Law.

Angela’s charities include Veterans of Southern Nevada and her philanthropic passion of building libraries for schools who don’t have libraries.

Sheldon Honey

Investment Advisor

Sheldon Honey, is a sixth generation native of Kanab, Utah. Since the late 1800’s The Honey family has cultivated their family culture across southern Utah. Faith, family, friends and real estate have been key ingredients to Sheldon’s personal success.

As a younger adult, Sheldon raised his three children into their own adulthood and is a very proud father and grandfather.

Living in The Greatest Earth on Show, Sheldon has been a locally famed macro and fitness coach for the last eight years.  In 2022, Sheldon earned fifth place, across 19 countries, in the Natural Pro Olympia, in body building physique. His commitment and discipline to this sport is a testament of his grit and character.  

Having run numerous businesses, including a lifestyle gym, Pipedream Fitness, Sheldon decided to obtain his real estate license in 2020. Having worked under global brokerages specializing in land and fuel centers, Powers-Armstrong recruited Sheldon in 2023 as a stellar addition to their brokerage.

Adisyn Daley

Analytics

A 2024 Graduate of Kanab High School, Adisyn earned a 4.0 GPA while attending college coterminously, earning a two-year college degree with a 3.98 GPA. Adisyn’s grit and determination contributes to successful time managment in which multiple goals are achieved and timelines met. Presently enrolled at Utah Tech University, majoring in Exercise Science, Adisyn enjoys living a healthy life style of nutrition and fitness while running 3 miles each day and hammocking at the Sand Dunes in her leisure time. Adisyn is currently on a paid internship with us, working in Database Analytics to assist in matching our buyers and sellers, auditing intellectual property.
